Not necessarily. Amazon has many warehouses that each have a certain amount of stock. I don't know if Amazon gets all of a particular item delivered to a single Amazon location, or whether each warehouse gets stock from Panasonc separately. And if a warehouse has 10 cameras, it may be some of these cameras came to Amazon in separate shipments. Because of the size of the Amazon warehouses, you might not get a strict first in, first out queue for goods sold. So it is in the realm of possibility that the warehouse that had the FZ1000 you bought, may have some from May or April.I'm so glad that the FZ1000 that I bought last week is so fresh. (produced May 31, 2018)It was sold and shipped directly from Amazon.com, not 3rd party seller, so anybody buying from Amazon after that will get one made after June?

When you make an order, Amazon picks which warehouse sends you the goods. I would imagine that typically, it uses the closest warehouse with stock if you are buying a single item. If you bought a bunch of items, it may pick a warehouse that has all of the times to reduce the number of packages shipped.
