How many of you here have a K-3 III?

K-3 III is good but K-1 is more compatible with old glass optically. With the latest big glass of Pentax, the best result can be obtained.
You've obviously got more experience in this field than I have ;)

I suppose you could say that in the sense that classic/film era lenses are FF, and the K-3iii is APS-C.

Me too, but where's this leading, as I'm sure there are plenty of Pentaxians who aren't members of this site so imho this straw poll is hardly worth the effort, is it?
Well, certainly not a basis for generalization... Self selection surveys rarely are <g>

Interesting, though, are the number who self-identified as early-adopters (say in or before the first couple of days of release). I doubt that that's typical of all users.

Yes - Brilliant Camera.

Not arrived yet.

Got it - wonderful camera.

I have the K1 and all 3 of the K3's but the K3 III is my go to Pentax body.

For myself it is not so much about being an early adopter rather than that I upgraded from a K-5IIs and had wait for a long long time for a replacement.

I got my K3-III in December and am really enjoying it. Great camera. I especially like the various Limited lenses on it, and the PLMs pair very well with the K3-III.

A K1-III with similar advances would be a hell of a camera...

Yip, I've got one, it's probably more able than me - still got a lot to learn about it, also got several Pentax film camera and a lot of the best earlier lenses to go with them.

Trust me--well understood. I didn't mean early adopter as a personality type, just as a characterization of this particular purchase. Yes, we had been waiting a while.

But that doesn't seem to have exhausted the market, given that Ricoh continues to report profitable quarters attributed to Pentax/GR sales. See https://pentaxrumors.com/category/financial-reports/

So the number of early buyers here seems to make us an unusual group (as if being Pentax users didn't make us odd enough <g>).

All pictures I post here are SOOC, downsized 50% unless specifically identified otherwise.

I suspect that GR III/IIIx sales are helping a lot here.

Ordered mine as soon as it was possible in Sweden but has by today february 10th been without it for 2 weeks with my second repaired DA* 16-50 PLM since Ricoh recommended Kameraservice (Sweden) to check out booth units since there is still some kind of problem with lens sharpness. Mentioned to Kameraservice to also check the AF in the camera as well since non other AF point than the one in the middle works with this PLM lens.... My life's story, anything electronic must be repaired at least once during warranty.

Probably so, yes. Though it's a product (really an entire market segment) that I just don't get. My limitation no doubt.

I got mine when it first went on one of the first price reductions.

I do as well

No sadly waiting for it to drop below $1,000 USD new,. Need to be more wealthy like others here. lol
