It's still listed on the Panasonic website, and as "temporarily out of stock" at B&H, not discontinued.
It seems to be backordered at various stores in the US, but there is no notice that the camera is being discontinued. Why are you asking?
It's not listed on their online store here in Canada. Only one camera store carries it (Henry's) but it's a special order item, though I'm not sure if that also translates to being out of stock.
I find its lack of availability unusual compared to the aforementioned cameras.

That could be it. The GX9 is a camera I've taken interest in buying for its 20MP sensor and most of all, the tilting EVF but its availability has been scant since I've been looking at it and have bought the GX85 instead which is frequently on sale on Amazon.
No gx9s on the used market?

I usually always see a deal on ebay, international sellers but sometimes they are cheaper even with shipping.
mpb.com has three of them in stock ranging excellent to like new condition. They have been a great used store for me, I like them a little better than Keh and Roberts, but those two are great too. Check with those three used seller websites and you should have some choices. They do look a little expensive right now used, in the $600 range.
I'd prefer to buy from a source where I'll have recourse. Especially for that kind of money.
We don't have those used gear dealers in Canada. I'd also have to pay shipping and import fees. After currency conversion, it often ends up costing as much as buying new.
Are there cameras that are older than the GX9 / GX7 Mark III for sale new on Amazon Japan?
I'm keeping my expectations low.
Fair enough, just know ebay has very aggressive policy that protects buyers (more so then sellers). I was hesitant too, but if they have a good rater and decent number of reviews it's usually safe. Saved a ton of money on a used 25mm f1.4 buying on eBay.
