I have a Cambo Ultima D + Upgrade kit ACXL-365 to Actus-XL.
I have a Cambo Ultima II with the Actus upgrade kit. That is symmetrical.
I also have a Cambo Actus-GFX. That is not symmetrical. Front tilt & swing, rear shift. I have added the fine focus gear to that camera. I much prefer the focusing on the TC-1, but with the fine focus gear, the Actus is easy enough to focus precisely.
Yes, Cambo Actus GFX is not symmetrical. I thought you were referring to the Actus-XL and I didn't understand. Now it is clear. But I will have to chase one of these Cambo GFX cameras, testing the Actus-XL in field work made me understand it is not a solution outside of a studio (which I knew but I thought I can have a workaround. But it is tooooo heavy)
Yeah, I have big trouble understanding how to focus single shots with the Actus-XL. I ruined quite a lot of shots in the field. I don't use the camera yet for paid jobs because of that. I have to understand what I am doing wrong.
Focus stacking it is a different story. I quite like how it behaves, better than my expectations.
What movements are not symmetrical in your case?
Are you reffering to the fact it can do only 20mm vertical although horizontally it can do 25mm?
BTW, just found out today when testing the Rodie 105 that you cannot do higher magnifications than 1:1 with the standard 300mm rail. More money to sink with extensions and the macro bellows.....
I am using a macro bellows on my film scanning setup. I need it to fill the 33x44 frame with a 24x36 mm negative.
Cool. If it is possible can you tell me what extension rail are you using
