Has anyone gotten their Viltrox 75mm lens yet?

I'd love to hear some feedback.

Thanks.

I'd like to see some comparisons with the Viltrox 85mm f1.8 ii first...this lens is heavier than the brick...the 85 Mark II is nearly 200g lighter than the 75 and even cheaper.

f/1.8 is a little over a stop slower than f/1.2. For that extra speed adding 200 g in weight sound like a good deal.

I received my copy of the lens last night. It rained hard all day so I could only 'play' with it a little around the house. (Eastern PA - I was one of the 50 pre-sales orders). So far autofocus seems fine, but will know better once I'm able to give it a good test. It's definitely 'solid' a little more weight than the 16-55 and balances really well on the X-H2. All my test shots were raw (converted in C1) and images at various f-stops were sharp. Will give more feedback after better testing.

When you say you were one of 50, does that mean you ordered direct through Viltrox? Or was it B&H?

Direct thru the Viltrox Store - when they had a 'pre-sales' of only 50. I was surprised that I was able to order, and then I was a bit concerned that the shipment was coming from China, however, Viltrox was very responsive to my inquiries. Before I received shipping information I saw that B&H was accepting orders. I paid the extra $30 for DHL shipping and the package arrived on Wednesday and was extremely well packaged.

Thanks. That is good to hear. I had the same concerns as you (potential delay due to being shipped from China). I was too late to get in on that initial pre-sale direct from Viltrox, but I did get in the B&H pre-sale. Mine hasn't shipped yet.

received mine today

Impressive IQ (sharpness and bokey wide open)

sub par AF

great quality of construction

insufficient minimum focusing distance
I agree - excellent image quality, bokeh and build. not sure about 'insufficient' minimum focusing distance - around 35 inches ?88cm ... about 1ft more than the 90 (I don't have) . Just a bit more than the 70-300, which is excellent a close-focus as you zoom out.

I found the focusing to be fast if moving from one subject to another at or close to the same distance, but a bit slower when moving to objects further/closer away ... probably around 1/2 second (really didn't time it ... will do some more testing).

Here's a few test images shot at 1.2 on the X-H2
