Came across these on a hike along a river in Lake Superior Provincial Park this September. I could probably have gotten a little more detail if I had paid attention to the ISO and shutter speed, but the shot still turned out fairly well.

I like the subject and colors. It's still a good shot, and one that's hard to get in what appears to be pretty subdued light. :-)

Interesting. Nice result. TFS.

Thank you gents. Yes, very subdued light.

A tripod or some other sort of camera support would have helped a lot, but I like to travel light. This was a bit of a challenging hike for my old, out of shape legs as it was.

I'm also still not used to the idea that you can adjust ISO and didn't even think about that when shooting despite my camera having a handy button just for that purpose.

I know some people expect perfection, but it looks well enough to me. Nice shot. If they were Morrell's, you could've eaten them after you captured them. :-P

Thanks. Works well enough for me as well ... for now.

I've seen some absolutely stunning shots done with the RF 100 macro, so I'm hoping I can do better. I really like this kind of photography.

By the way, your images here have pretty much convinced me to sell my G9 and move to the R7. Just need to get through the Christmas rush.
