How the A7RIV changed my opinion of Sony...
As you say in the vid, "I've been kind of anti-Sony for a long, long time".

Boy, does it show. Your appraisal (and the nits you choose to pick) re the a7Riii and a7Riv are kinda bizarre --- or at least, entirely subjective and personal. I doubt there are many here (or anywhere) who share your perspective, frankly.

That aside, your thread title is misleading, since in the video you are panning the a7Riv and the epiphany you are claiming relates instead to the a7iv.

Wow, what a bore, that's 12 minuets of my life I'll never get back - the video is 16+ minuets, but life's to short.

My latest talking head video in case anyone's interested, Thanks!
I thought it was the A7R IV which I also have, so out of curiosity I watched it, but it was actually talking about A7 IV, but I stopped watch when he mentioned he love love the 24-70 Sony/Zeiss F4, I owned that lens at one point and boy, I hate that lens, LOL. so sold that with the 16-35 F4 together. few lenses I regret to pre-order.

It was like a Ford man saying "finally, a BMW that I don't hate", then going on to say that it's great for towing a trailer (that lens).

Not only the length, but the drivelling content was unbearable. A good 16 minute video is over in the blink of an eye. I started skipping after about 2 minutes.

You're telling me!

No, stick with bizarre: they are bizarre.

Well it's the internet, where a misleading title is a feature not a bug...hello clickbait. Being misleading and an obvious mistake...just sets the bar lower than usual. ;-)

Plus, I'm not even sure it's OK to come on here and post links to one's own YouTube channel upload-of-the-day. Gee, what obvious click-harvesting and attention-clamouring. There oughta be a law. So, to any readers who haven't already made the mistake of clicking on his link, don't do it. And especially don't subscribe. OP should read the forum guidelines about how commercial posting will get you banned, and IMO a Youtube channel that's uploading 10 videos in a month is in that category.

I immediately stopped watching the (boring) video right after he said he loved the 24-70mm f4. I pre-ordered that lens when it was first released and sold it within 60 days of receiving it. I also sold the 16-35mm f4 pretty fast. :) :)

Funny that we can perceive things so differently. The Zeiss/Sony 24-70 mm f:4 is by bread and butter lens for stills and video, in use almost daily.

About the video: I agree with the previous comments.

So post some links to some videos you guys made, I'd love to see them...

And the title should have been (obviously) A7IV. I'm really glad you all pointed that out. So misleading... takes a keen eye to notice that.

To the guy who uses the 24-70, right? It's a great lens with a troubled history. Anyone who dismisses it out of hand is missing out.
