I use back button focusing and both AF-C and AF-S priorities are set to Release. This is the weird feature I noticed. I am in single-point AF are mode. I use the AF-ON button to focus on something. I release the AF-ON button and press the shutter release button to take photos. Later I use the touch AF on the back of the LCD. Once I have used the touch AF I cannot release the shutter any longer, unless the selected focus point is actually in focus. As if the camera decided the AF priority should be Release now. The only way to take a photo is to keep the AF-ON pushed while pressing the shutter release button. Even more weird is that if I activate focus shift shooting, the camera will not take any photos or will take 1 or two photos, even if the number of shots is set much higher. The remedy is to switch off the camera for a few seconds and turn it back on. Anybody has noticed this? Or is it only my camera? Would anybody like to test it?
