Picked up the Leica CL body for use with M-Mount Zeiss VM 35mm f2.

Don't think this is a under-achiever for a cropped sensor camera, and this is my first taste of Leica color science and image quality. Maybe the partnership with Panasonic will come up with something like the CL- which I really like.

I agree, I really like the digital CL.

I've been contemplating an M10 to go with my M2. But I often find myself thinking that I should buy a CL with the 18mm prime. I owned one previously. It's a great system.

Very capable, lightweight and unabtrusive mirrorless camera of substantial quality.

I strap it around me, grab a Citi-Bike, and cover lot's of ground doing my street photography.

I liked the CL a lot too and was hanging out for an updated version. Alas, that is not to be.

I agree, it is a nice system, the 11-23 zoom is one of the best lenses I have ever used, the 35 1.4 I understand is in the same category, but I have a 35 Summilux pre asph and a 35 Zeiss f2.8 both smaller lenses that I think fit the CL well. I also do macro and telephoto with the CL, just a versitile camera that does its job well. Too bad it didn't sell like the Q series.

The Leica specialist at my local camera store feels like the CL did not get the love it deserved. I got to agree. I cannot see selling mine. I may pick up a used M10-P or M10-R just to go back to a rangefinder. But the CL will get a lot of use.

Exactly the direction I am heading. I do have an M8 and M3. The M8 is beautiful in its own way, the CL is my main camera. The M3 is also great.

I had the X1 (fantastic camera) the XVario (very underrated) now I have the CL (superb results) I use the 23mm TL & TTartisans 50mm f1.2 lens.. It's a real shame Leica decided to cease production of the CL, a really great and lovely camera.. L

CL/TTArtisans 50.. f1.2
CL/TTArtisans 50.. f1.2

I think image quality was never the question.

Autofocus, stabilizer, swivel screen and I wasn’t so sure about the zoom lens,
