Thanks Red! They are taken with my refractor telescope - Celestron 80ED 600mm F7.5 (FF fov 1200mm) - with tripod and gimbal head (loosened, for free movement). It's a two hand operation - focus manually with a rack and pinion focuser, so I have to have a tripod. I have managed a few handheld shots, but it's not recommended :-)
 
As you mentioned the background is a stream and by the tail it could well be one.

The detail you were able to extract from that combo is still a landmark for m4/3 imho!
