Is this a legit en-el14a battery?

So, i bought an extra battery for my dslr from a legit camera shop on Facebook. I stalk his account and he has some pretty good reviews. I bought this battery and noticed that its different than the original battery that came with my camera.

Differences:

1. It's made by Panasonic Energy

2. Different text layout

3. It's Korean

4. It has the "Import by Nikon" text at the front.

(This one's pretty common in countries outside Japan and USA, but the text layout at the back is still different different.)

It doesn't have the same text content or branding as the OEM Nikon battery I have, although the rating appears the same. Branded Nikon OEM should have a reflective hologram on the bottom of the battery as well.

I think it's unlikely to be legit.

Yep, it works well. And it lasts longer than my original battery(maybe its just the battery life cuz it's old lol)

It may work well but who knows for how long or even worse if it were fake

as F8AD said no hologram, likely not real.

Either they do not even bother to try to make close fakes or seems counterfeiters are effected as well with supply chain issues.

But if you are happy with your deal, just watch for heat and bugling over time as it ages.

I have been using Ravpower bats from Amazon in my D3400 for two years and have no problems

I have had a genuine Nikon EN-EL15 that came with a Nikon camera, that showed it was made by Sony. Nikon do not make batteries.
