It does look like a photo I've seen before.I have a sense of déjà vu about this.
Spot on Brian, Hopetoun Street it is. With previous references to Hope Town on Elbow Quay in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas – and its striped lighthouse v the Auckland Sky Tower. It does look like a photo I've seen before.I have a sense of déjà vu about this.
Were you on the Hopetoun St overpass, Auckland NZ?

Aha! I was looking around there but didn't get in close. I was fooled by these devices, which I'm now curious about. What are they for?It does look like a photo I've seen before.I have a sense of déjà vu about this.

I did get that Bahamas reference. It took me a while, though to get from Elbow Quay to Hope Town, but I did get there. Was it constructed in 1864 and 1865? And the observatory possibly shaped like a whale? At the end of the jetty, is an underwater tourist attraction.
It was indeed although I think the whale shape is to come in the upgrading of the observatory. Was it constructed in 1864 and 1865? And the observatory possibly shaped like a whale? At the end of the jetty, is an underwater tourist attraction.
What a cracking good clue Brian – from a green hill climber’s point of view. ;-)You would need to be nuts to climb those rocky cliffs you can see in the distance.
That's the place, Max.No takers Brian, so how about here:
