Well managed to find my batteries and found a $20 40-140 lens. Surprised the batteries actually took a full charge. Still had the CF card in the camera too.

Since I had to wide angle had to settle for close up shots. Kamloops BC Cinnamon Ridge Hoodoo's

Quite amazing how much you can cook modern files vs 2002 sensor ones. My main desktops MB fired yesterday to had to edit on older laptop hooked up to my monitor so colors might be off.

Edited in Linux Mint/Darktable.

An interesting set to look through Arek. Not sure when the last time I fired the shutter in my E-1 was. Perhaps about the same.

Out of curiosity, I took the first image through Topaz Gigapixel and resized it 4X, then into Topaz Sharpen Ai and applied default model sharpening. It improves it a bit but not that much in it. Still, the images are fine for web posting or even reasonably sized prints.

Excellent shots. I love that camera, though I haven't used in the last few years.

Yah the lens sucks for sharpness but also there's sensor limitations for landscape shooting with fine details but I've gotten some nice detail on portraits/street/urban etc vs landscape. The senor could use some cleaning too as it's sat in a ziplock bag with no lens cap in a garage for a long time.
