Camera to Video Latency w/ External Monitor

I've been using an external monitor to capture video. I am very happy with the ease of use and final results in editing. The one thing that drives me crazy is the latency from the point I switch the camera from photo to video. Approx time is 3 seconds. The latency is 0 seconds if I use the on-camera screen.

My questions:

(1) What's the term for this (if one exist)?

(2) How do I get rid of it? (I'm ready to spend more money)

Here are the specs:

(A) Canon 1DX Mark II

(B) FEEL WORLD FW279S 7 Inch Ultra Bright 2200nit DSLR Camera Field Monitor Daylight Viewable

(C) Connected via HDMI to HDMI mini

Good question and keen to know if there is anyway to reduce it myself.

I went from having lag with my 6D to no noticeable lag with my R5.
