APFS or Mac OS Extended (journaled)

I would like to avoid it if possible because I would have to transfer all data to an external drive, wipe the 8TB drive and transfer all of the data back to the 8TB drive and then I would probably have to redirect Lightroom classic and "Photos" to the new drive. I did not mention that the 8TB external is strictly for data. I don't have any programs on there.

Yeah, there are 2 types of people:

1. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
2. If it ain't broke, keep fixing it until it is broke.

I try to be #1, but a few times I have foolishly been #2.
