Yes, light is so important in these sort of landscapes.

Yes that is an attractive building indeed. Art Nouveau maybe. Great series.

I really liked this charming picture. Bird and nature pictures are good when we see something interesting going on, as in this one.

Unexpected visitors in my yard the other day.

I'm not sure where they are from, as the nearest creek is about 1/4 mile away, but, for some odd reason, there they were, and they were very obliging about staying put for long enough for me to shoot them.

:)

The flowers are nice but it's the third for me.
Thanks, WM (and to all who commented on these photos). I like the buck deer, also. It's nice to see them with an almost-full rack of antlers, and in good physical condition despite the terrible heat and drought we are experiencing in Central Texas.

Very good of them. I'm rather fond of dragonflies so enjoyed these.

That's a biog improvement from the last set I saw with the new lens. Aren't all those 'sticky balls' just the pollen they are there to collect?
Thanks Yaelle

I'm not sure, I guess they probably are, but maybe a bee or flower expert could help out here with the answer.

It seemed that the bees were quite interested in something in the middle of the flower close to the base of that long protruding stem. And while looking for that they got covered in the sticky balls.
