*** This Week Through Your Eyes 2022.08.06 ***

The last is great - light and composition both shine (no pun intended)

That is an excellent still life.

Ha! Fine capture.

When the image is viewed at original size the texture of the tree bark really stands out. I know that's not the subject but it really caught my eye.

Hey everyone, I was visiting Elk Island in Alberta and I was walking on those boardwalks on the shallow ponds. One side was full of duckweeds and ducks, and the other side... might have see better days.

The past two weeks have been pretty hot, but this week we got some rain and some cooling down. Curious to know if a lot of microorganisms in the water died.

Edit: I won't lie... I am really liking how the Pana 20mm renders images. Can't put a finger on it why, and I do also have the 25mm f/1.7 as well. Maybe it's because I have never enjoyed shooting 25mm and other format's equal FoV. Not to put down the 25mm, it also takes lovely pictures.
Well done, and nice to see someone using the venerable GX1, which I had way back and wish I had never sold.

What a great park. And I liked your tram sequence as well, so full of noise and colour it's quite the contrast to the park shots.

With my favorite camera and lens.

That's a biog improvement from the last set I saw with the new lens. Aren't all those 'sticky balls' just the pollen they are there to collect?

These have a lovely balance of evening light and deeper shadow. They are very nicely done.

I wonder if the people who made these carvings ever thought to consider that we would still be admiring them nearly a thousand years later!

Here's a shot from a late afternoon hike in the Chicamocha Canyon in Colombia. It was mostly very cloudy and the light was flat but the sun poked through for a few minutes and shone a lovely light through the canyon.

The images in the previous thread were taken at the exit of the water escape tunnel below the Horseshoe Falls. These are taken inside the generating station on the main floor and a couple from the exterior.

Andrew

the design of the building seems more attractive to me than one might have expected of a utilitarian industrial building. The generating station began operation in 1905 and continued until 2006.

Thanks, there is nothing quite as relaxing for me as a beautiful sunset, as are these.

Besides, I got a few ideas of my own from them.
