sharing some xiaomi 12s Ultra 50MP samples

That make sense since we only got 12M output Raw file. Do you know is there any 4 Bayer filter sensor can output native resolution? Or they only can output a quater of the total pixels?

Sure, updated DNGs and JPGs with stock camera and GCAM under different color profile settings.

Thank you very much Anima for sharing all this image shots. What I realize is how "organic" these pics look. As it were shooted with an analog film camera and not a smartphone. I am happy to have ordered a 12s ultra and not the Vivo x80 pro who probably gain a slightly better HDR but does look more processed and digital.

Hope the 12s ultra arrive soon! 😊

Do you have warranty there? This is my first time to buy a phone from Xiaomi and I am not so confident in its quality. If you have placed order, I highly recommend you to buy the official case, it is high quality and looks cool.

No warranty in my country, unfortunately. Your suggestion for the protective case is welcome and my compliments for the nice Zeiss/Leica lens collection.

Best decision ever. Vivo is absolutely great camera, but zoom photos are not even close to xiaomi's - i didn't found any single phone with similar zoom performance like MI10/11/12 Ultra(same sensor) with GCAM :)

I shot with Leica authentic with AI off and auto HDR on. In most case I prefer Leica authentic. it is more contrastive, brings more tonal depth and 3D like image. Leica vibrant offers higher dynamic range which I dont like so much.
I wonder if that added dynamic range is what some people are seeing as noise in the daylight photos? We can't get that extra dynamic range without a cost.

Terrific hardware. I will buy it in 3 years when it cost me $250.

It is 58mm with original case.

Not bad, but was surprised at the amount of distortion especially in the telephoto shot. Would have thought buildings would have been straighter. Maybe there is no correction applied? Not smart enough to understand that part. Would expect it in ultra wide, but wide and tele seemed to have more than I expected to see.
Not bad - you nailed it. I was surprised by noise in daylight and wormy details as well
Shooting directly into the sun may explain the noise. Would like to see more samples of more ordinary motives. Not impressed though, it seems to me that 10 and 11 do better. Yes, I saw the gsmarena samples...

Unfortunately, even with GCAM there is only 12MP DNG output. Now we have 12MP Raw and 50MP Jpeg
Hi Anima, which version of Gcam do you use with Xiaomi 12s ultra? Thanks.

I am using a Japanese modified GCAM version 9. It is useable but not stable.
