Does anyone know how to do a full factory reset on the Godox TT350s?

Page 36 of the manual tells you how to turn the wireless functionality on, but nowhere in the manual doesn’t tell you how to turn it off. Two different tech support people at B&H photo can’t do it. I haven’t been able to find any place on YouTube or elsewhere online. I have emailed Godox without reply, and tried to call their number in Shanghai to no avail. So I’m turning to my favorite photo site (dp) to ask for help. The red background is ever-present, can’t get the wireless setting off, and would love to do a full factory reset. Have tried removing batteries and letting it unit drain power, and have pushed all manner of button combinations.

THANK YOU in advance.

Mitch

Don’t know about a reset, but to turn wireless off press and hold the sync button until the wireless symbol flashes, rotate the dial until the CH number disappears leaving only the wireless symbol flashing, then press set.

OMG Peter --- thank you. That worked. Now I think I will not try that again! And thanks so much for replying to my post.

Glad to have helped. That button sequence switches the flash between Wireless Master/Slave/Off.

Is it not possible to do a factory reset on this unit?
Don't know about a reset but I can answer the OPs question if I understand it correctly.

Hold the 'sync' button down and the wireless icon will flash

Use the wheel to cycle modes, choose the ttl mode without the channel number showing, press set.

The wireless icon no longer shows.

AFAIK, no. There's no menu selection to reset the factory defaults, and no button combo press, like on a TT685. There's no way to reset a TT600, either.

Oh, no! Playing with wireless off-camera flash is the fun part!! Please don't give up ever trying it again!

But, yeah, maybe wait until you've got a Godox transmitter before turning that on again. :)

OTOH, having the radio turned on probably won't cause any problems if you're using the flash on-camera. Even in radio slave mode, it'll still work fine on-camera in both TTL and HSS (or at least my TT350-O does on my GX7).

The TT350, though, is really confusing, because it also has a SLAVE button that is for the "dumb" optical S1/S2 triggering modes. You'd logically think that button was the one that you pressed to set/turn off radio slave.

To FULL Factory reset Godox TT350C

1 Turn flash off

2 hold zoom/c.Fn button and turn flash on

Done!
Thank you, very useful. But when does the ZOOM button ever actually control the zoom? I always get stuck in the C.Fn mode with the ZOOM button.

:-(

You're holding it down too long. :) Just press it quickly and the Zoom setting should start blinking.

Nope, a quick pop does nothing. Nothing blinks, spinning the wheel only changes the flash output setting.

This is using the "O" version with a Panny G85 with the std 12-60 Lumix. The zoom value shown is stuck on 14mm. There is also a white "M" letter on a dark background. Signifying Manual zoom?

I use the O version with a GX7. Really, it's a short press vs. a long one. But....
The zoom value shown is stuck on 14mm.
The wide-angle diffusion panel (the clear one) isn't fully seated in its slot, so you're stuck at widest zoom. Shove it back in until it clicks, and you'll be able to adjust the zoom setting normally again.
There is also a white "M" letter on a dark background. Signifying Manual zoom?
Yes. If you go down past 24mm (the lowest setting you can get if the wide angle panel is properly seated), you'll get AU for auto.

BTW, all these numbers are full-frame equivalents. If you want to see the MFT equivalents, C.Fn 43-ON will make them the MFT focal lengths instead, and the range will go from 12-52 instead of 24-105.

Absolutely right, the WA filter was not fully retracted. What a dumb thing!

You are far from the first to have run into that issue. It's a near-universal headscratcher on every speedlight that has one. I learned it the hard way on a Canon 580EX. :)
