Yes, it's very good, don't see any loss in sharpness towards edges. There is some barrel distortion, but that appears to be inevitable with wide-angle converters.

Be aware that it's quite big; OK with the 2100, but would dwarf the 20*0-30*0.

Hi Misha,

Do you know how the WCON-08 compares with the B-28 on the C2100? I know the B-28 works on the C2100, but doesn't know you can use another wide-angle converter.

Thanks!

It's the same lens.

I am very impressed with the wide angle capabilities of the c2100. However, on many occasions I wish I had a wider lens capability. For example, when shooting the murals in the LA Subway and a pillar was in the way, or at the Atrium in the Page Museum. Would someone post comparison pictures of wide angle with and without this B28 lens? Thanks.

A quick-and-dirty B-28 lens comparison. At 0.8X it doesn't buy you a whole lot, but I guess it's better than nothing!

B&H advertises WCON-08b and WCON-08e models; what is the difference
besides the $20 price? Which is recommended for the c2100?

Does anyone have any experience with Century Precision Optics?
Just read that they were acquired by Schneider Optics. This stuff
is NOT cheap!!! Check out the fisheyes and wide-angle adapters and
the 2X teleconverter.
Not cheap is a gross understatement - $895 for a fisheye lens!@#%

Be careful though as there are two WCON lens - 8 and 8b, the latter for the Olympus E-10 with a larger thread size.
