A couple images taken a few weeks ago in Glacier NP. Such a beautiful park, so much to see and photograph.

Very good work!

These are beautiful shots. I'm curious, I often shoot at ISO 200. Is this a preference of yours or just coincidence on these images? Well done, thank you for sharing.

Yow! Very nice. I really like your balance in your compositions, great eye!

Like everyone else, I like your images very much.

However, I have a suggestion for your first image. IMHO, including the thinner clouds along the top of the image includes so much sky that the size & height of the mountains are minimized. I recommend you experiment with a crop that excludes those light, thin clouds, I think the image looks just as good, and brings into it a better idea of the size & height of the mountains.

Bear in mind, my advice is worth everything you paid for it.

Like bflood said you didn't pay for it but I like them with # 4 being my fav and # 1 my least fav---- too dark for me.

Funny, his framing with the thinner clouds is why I think the image works so well, it balances the picture quite nicely compared to the more typical tight crop. I guess it is interesting how we all see things differently.

Thanks, I'm afraid I disagree with your cropping suggestion. I purposely framed is that way as the clouds are as important as the mountains and add much more impact to the entire scene, just my 2 cents. Glad you liked them.

Beautiful series! #2 & #3 are my winners out of this bunch!

Yep. #2, a burned out forest. I would not have thought to do it that way. It's very interesting both for the tonality and contrast, and even for the out-of-focus trees.

#3 is pure tonality and beauty. I love it. I would be proud of a picture like that.

If C&C are invited, though, the clouds seem burned in a substantial area in the center. I think that robs it a bit of tonality. I'm not sure if that's a processing or exposure thing, or if it was just natural, but if there is a way to recover it, it might help a little.

Great pictures! Thanks for posting them.

Or maybe it was a fluke of the way it looks on my monitor. It actually looks perfect on this less-than-calibrated monitor I'm using at the moment. Could be that it just looks that way. Just pointing it out. Use your own judgment.

It's a great picture either way.

Very nicely done. Glacier is magnificent and beautiful in color or black & white. Thanks for sharing. Greg
