Buying a Rebel? Be aware of...

Wow, they can change the color with a firmware update? Those zany Canon guys, I wonder what they'll think of next!
4) DR is silver and will never become black for marketing reasons.

All these functions can be easily implemented (or enabled) by
firmware updates, but probably won't.

That full sensor won't be for the consumer market at all. Of
course they might eventually change their view on this, but the
only thing that will really do it is competition.

I think it's going to be at least 3-4 years before we see full
frame sensor bodies for under $2000.

With the results people are already getting (large prints, etc) it
makes more sense for canon to just push a new line of lenses
designed specifically for the 6 megapixel sensor.
Do not underestimate the relentless undulating wave of the technology pricing bell curve.

Who told you that Taiwan is separate from China? Only China is accepted by UN, Taiwan is part of China. Even the U.S. accept only one China.

You are either so ignorant or lying.

Its not only the color, it is the plastic feel of a $1k "made in
china" toy...
It's funny how people look down on China when in fact they are
turning out so much high quality consumer electronics that we take
for granted, from Palm handhelds to Microsoft and Logitech hardware
to computer motherboards and practically all PC computer enclosures
etc. etc.

This is true, and it will probably only become more true!

By the way, Taiwan and China are separate countries and
interestingly, China asserts that Taiwan is its property, while
Taiwan thinks this is absolute nonsense (a Taiwanese friend of mine
suggested that China is a part of Taiwan!). Interesting piece of
political information for you!
