Love the way it looks. Design it yourself?

Sorry, i slept in, i'll try to answere the question you guys had.

Yes, this is my first dSLR camera, i used to have the S110 and CP5400

Yes, the website was designed and build by me one lonely saturday afternoon.

And the last question i think there was... was what lense? Well i went off campus and bought a cheap Quantary AF 70-300 1:4-5.6 LD Tele-Macro(1:2). Picked it up for around $200. Its definatly not the lense to use in dark situations and i do have to say the AF is kinda slow. But nonetheless it got me the shots i wanted. One more thing... all shots were post-processed with an Unsharp Mask of 50 and adjustments to the Levels... afterall at 300mm the pictures tend to get a little soft.

Nice site and pictures.

One remark, when shooting propeller airplanes (c-130, p-51, ...). All propellers on your pictures are frozen. You should try a slower shutter time, so you can see the motion in the propeller. I shot this picture of a B-17 with a shutter time of 1/250s. (10D + 75-300/f4,5-5,6)

The moving propellers give a more realistic image. You can go even slower (1/200-1/125), but it's difficult to get sharp images with 300mm lens handheld.
Just try it, you will like it.
Greetings,
Patrick

Hi Patrick.BE,

Very nice photo of the B-17!

I was just wondering what those darker spots in the sky are.
A dirty lens? Dust on the sensor? Some are really obvious, while
others less so. This is I realize really nitpicking , but I've
been seeing a few posts in the forums concerning dust problems
with dSLRS, and was wondering if this is a typical case of
a dirty sensor needing a cleaning, or something else?

(I've got a good monitor and am viewing at 800x600 rez, so details
tend show up well.... prob too well.)

It may be difficult for some folks to see them, but the spots are
in the center of the white circles of your copied photo here...

(saved at "11" compression in PS to retain as much
detail as possible of your original posted photo.)

The spots certainly don't harm the photo. I was just wondering
what they were.

Wren.

Sorry for the late response
The spots are dirt inside the lens. Only found out after the airshow.
Greetings,
Patrick

Great pics...

I graduated from ERAU PRC a few years ago and am now working in south Florida, but couldn't make it to the airshow. Thanks for the pics.
