Very nice. It is amazing the "depths" that a photographer will go to get the shot! I've never done any diving and can only imagine this type of photography must be near the top of the list of most difficult.

Without a doubt the most difficult type of photography

The water, the time pressure (you will run out of air), the conditions, skill required and the additional technical hurdles of housing ports and lighting make this discipline extremely hard

Even getting the shot in certain cases is a result

But your case is almost extreme, in difficulty! It is very different to do underwater photography in the balmy waters of the Caribbean or the Red Sea... :-D

You still have buoyancy, lights, current, animal behaviour and eventually run out of water

So it is harder than any land photography I do by a fair amount

Oh, yes, but I bet it is less hard than Swanage Pier...
Diving the pier is very easy taking good images isn't

Some sites in the red sea instead are hard to dive but if you manage you get great images relatively easier
