I found a dead fly. Decided to photograph his left eye - just a portion of it
Focus stack of 127 images using my macro gear
Definitely under 0.75mm field of view
(see following post for whole fly’s face using Raynox 202)

OM-1
MC-20
Kenko 16mm extension tube
Olympus 60mm macro lens
Raynox 505
F4.5
Iso200
Godox 126LED on hotshoe
Focus bracket mode 1/10

same setup, but with 202 getting me about 7x magnification

Fantastic! It is really outstanding!

What is the difference between the two photos? is it the different Raynox?

I kindof did that at a park the other day - photographed a nice little Maevia Inclemens jumping spider - I stepped back while my camera did the work and then realized that since I didn't use any extra light, and thus no diffuser, I could see myself in the reflection. See:

and closer....

Thats awesome, I hope you keep it on your phone and present it as your selfie when people are showing off theirs XD

This made my day!

the image is soft. you would have better sharpness using a microscope objective at these mags. a nice 10x.

You forgot to list the fly :-)

Super to see, these are very impressive. I am surprised that you can achieve results this good with this setup. I would have expected very soft images at this magnification. A huge well done.

Those first two pictures are just terrific. Very well done, really.

What software do you use to stack?

I'd love to see a picture of your assembled gear in situ to take that fly shot, to see how you have everything set up and lit.

Wonderful.

according to Dspider above, he says the images are soft and I need an objective.

Wow, great photo. So you can use the teleconverter and extension tubes with the 60mm macro for more magnification?

yes. with the MC-20 you have to use either a 16mm Kenko ; or, a 16mm Pixco that has been modified some being shaved off inside the tube which allows the teleconverter lens to fit inside.

The Kenko is the best way, but it is a tight fit. But its worth it as you get about 2.4x magnification with it and the Teleconverter attached to the 60mm macro lens. Full ability to focus bracket

I use Helicon for stacking, usually Method C

I will get a shot of my setup or you can check out my other posts which have lots of that in them already,
