This is the first time I'm happy with humming bird photos I've taken and I've been trying for a very long time. I was walking through Kissena Park here in New York City when I found a group of photographers all with there lenses pointed in the same direction and some were sitting in chairs. I asked what was happening and they said that humming birds were frequenting one bush on the way to the Chesnutt Tree behind them. I joined them for a while capturing the first images and then continued my walk and as I passed there location a hummingbird flew from the bush to the tree and I captured the environmental images.

Beautiful images all. Well done. Thanks for sharing Morris.

Great images Morris. They can be difficult little creatures to photograph. You have done well, especially with the environmental images.

I get them at my backyard feeders. Most images will include the feeder, which I can sometimes crop out if I time the shot at the "back-off" part of the repeating "drink, back-off" cycle.

What a colorful bird! I like #1 and #3 best. The acrobatics it shows in #4 and #5 are also nice to see.

Thanks for sharing!

Just wow! You caught that first one in some very good light, I'm amazed with the colors, nice shooting all around, and great set, Morris.

Thank you Red,

The first was taken in light fog
