In an ideal world I would like the 300mm pro but I don't think I would use it enough the justify the cost. When using the TCs on the 40-150 what does it stop you down to?

Thanks very much!210/4.0 and 300/5.6 respectively, for the MC14 and MC20. Need to stop down from there for sharpest results.

One stop for the 1.4x and 2 stops for the 2x.In an ideal world I would like the 300mm pro but I don't think I would use it enough the justify the cost. When using the TCs on the 40-150 what does it stop you down to?
If you shoot wide open with and without the MC14, cropping the same view from the centre has a small amount more detail using the MC14. It degrades the edges quite a bit, but that probably doesn’t matter when shooting wide open.In an ideal world I would like the 300mm pro but I don't think I would use it enough the justify the cost.
