Why I'm not gettng the A1

Well guys, I know I said I was gonna get the A1 ‘cause the wife got her new Vue………. But I couldn’t pass this up at the auction……….

14” Delta Rockwell cabinet tablesaw with extensions & Biesemeyer fence……… I may have to wait now for the A1 :-( ……….

It has a 3 phase motor which means I either need a power inverter or a new motor…….. looks like a new motor & see if I can trade the old motor for a little bit to offset the cost of the new motor, and I am selling the 3 tablesaws that I have now to also offset the price so who knows, the A1 may come sooner than I expect…….. but still later than I wanted.

what is the lowdown on the noise issue anyways guy's........ is it THAT bad or just fussy people?

i have seen posts that state that 1 camera may produce more than another....... firmware issue? has it been improved with the later builds?

i'm thinking that when i save up enough (if i stop going to those FREAKIN' auctions that advertise woodworking equipment) the "problem" will have resolved itself, it should be in a few weeks and i'll have enough $$$$$ to seriously look again........ well, maybe months....... christmas is coming up and i heard that this cabinet shop 2 towns isn't doing very well and rumour is they have too much inventory and too many machines for their space.......

I found the perfect solution for the noise that your new toy will produce.
I tried Neat Image, it did not work. Earplugs did.

some folks below have solution for noise, megapixel etc.
but tell me, how a heck you'll make vertical picture? using crane or so? (lol)

waiting till christmas is not bad idea. your lovely one got vue, so perhaps you're worth to get some stuff beginning on first letter of alphabet and first number in row?

Hey, you can build yourself quite a desk setup for your computer and digital imaging equipment, an overhead shelf or cabinet for yer Photoshop books and.. hmmmm... as a wifeperson, I'd have you redoing the kitchen cabinets in a heartbeat, but that's probably not what you have in mind with that setup.

i think, i understand mike. what if his lovely one gets mad and say: get a h.ll out from here. she got new vue. she can ask now for great stereo system to vue. and poor mike was already saving a couple of bucks for his dreamy a1. and he says: honey: i'm out of moneeeeeeey.
so is better to look forward and have some safe (noise is not necessary- lol)
place.

Is the saw sharp enough to cut the pixels in two on your future A1 so you get a 11 mpix for the price of a A1?

E-eh, some time ago I found several dust particles inside the top LCD of my 7Hi, which makes me thinking of the DUST isuue whit that table saw - should be terrible even with respiration (dust collection? How is that in American?). And combined with the NOISE, WEIGHT, MEGAPIXEL, PORTRAIT/LANDSCAPE, 3-PHASE issues... No... Iam3D, you are wasting your money!

Is this equiped with anti-shake? You will need it. How about close cropping and framing issues?

Still, in all, this might be a cut above some of the other offerings.

It looks sturdy enough to take on trips, but will it have teething problems? What about serial number, early or late? This cost as much as the comparable A1?

...Iam3D. You can do it. My wife went to visit our daughter 3 weeks ago and within 4 days I had a new pc, Scan Dual III, CF card reader and an extra set of batteries for 414.

Do you think she will believe me when I tell her, "Honey, look at the money we will save not having to have the film developed!"? Only change it for the saw.

By the way, didn't hear, I mean 'see', any "noise" in the picture. Man, you got real steel there. I can tell by the rust.

Yea, I remember when table saws like that would excite me. After years of working with them though, the saw just means time spent in a dusty, sneezy environment.
Today, I'll take the camera , hands down: no contest!

Since you already have a decent camera, and you love woodworking, I think you made a great choice. Those old saws are indestructable and have so much power...I am very jealous of your new purchace.

Now, build something nice, and take pictures of it. Many people may critique your photography skillz, but I will be looking at your woodworking skills.

Have fun, and don't forget to use a push stick...keep those fingers, you may need them for your A1 when the time comes.

I already did the kitchen remodel.......... in fact, i just built her a house (2 years old now)........ but cabinets & entertainment center is coming next.

Jack....... she already tells me to get the H* L outta here..... thats why my computer & camera stuff is in the basement (finished 3 months ago), i have a barn (just finished a few days ago) and my gag\rage with all my neat woodworking toys ;-)......... working on cleaning out the garage so i can electicute it, insulate, heat, air condition & drywall it........ and knowing my bride, she will also grab a spot for her new Vue lol
