Full moon over London (pic)

Very nice image. I think it would look better if you added some glow to the moon to make it more realistic. You can see the haze around the buildings and clear moon just looks a little out of place to me.
Just my 2c.

Took this earlier with the 10D and 50mm f1.4. The moon pic was
taken with 100-400 L and 1.4 converter and then merged in PS.

I'm sorry but I find that a bit over done. I think the Moon needs to be smaller than that. The picture reminds me of the 80s for some reason.

It would be cool is the Moon really was that size though. At one point it was half the distance from the Earth than it is today.

Also, I think London has some more interesting skylines than that.

Sorry to be so critical!

there is considerable glow around the building lights in the photo, my opinion was to ad some of it to the moon as well.
Just my opinion.

Maybe you're thinking 80's because of the show "Moonlighting" :)

Yes it has, but this is the view from my balcony.

I will refer you to my opening website page for a 'take' on how a full
moon glow can be applied. The image is pure science fiction but
is usually taken at face value.

Sorry, but i hate "enlargened moon"-photo´s... but i just love cityscapes.

nice work...

Nick:

I like your picture.. I don't mind the moon is bigger that the actual size, mostly because you said upfront it was a PSpped... now if you would've claimed it was straight from the camera the theres another hitory.

The view is nice and I am amazed at how clean the shaows look. Impressive noise reduction. Was it from the camera or did you use some noise reduction actions? Care to share the workflow to prepare the skyline picture?

My only suggestion is to do a bit of perspective control. Buildings seem to be faling to the right. Great shot!
