My last Deer shot with Panasonic GHM2 using autofocus (who needs PDAF lol)

LOL. Way to avoid the question.

That just shows that one camera has a slow sensor drive and is sluggish and the other one is better it demonstrates nothing

And the point is you need to detect that you are off before you can correct and how does the camera do that whilst it is processing the entire video stream?

It does not have another channel to process the phase difference pixels in parallel or if it did it can't cope with it
So, you simply don't believe the reviewer when he directly states that firmware upgrade 3.0 added PDAF when using C-AF in during video recording?

If you have evidence that the information is wrong, please provide it.
In case you haven't figured it out yet, this guy has no clue what he's talking about. There's really no point in engaging with him, he's just going to continue going around littering the forums with nonsense until the mods finally getting around to taking some kind of action.

He did provide a very detailed and incorrect explanation for why PDAF couldn't be used during video recording.....

So do you have any examples? Your blurred one is not doing it

and stop pressing like on your own posts its sad

They should do so with you

this guys is arguing a case providing a blurred video to support his case

maybe you can help him and get something in focus instead if being the troll you are?

The explanation explains why your video is blurry

can you get one in focus using your superior gear or not?

am still waiting your previous example didn’t help

It can use what it likes but yet it fails

which goes back to the fact PDAF on its own doesn’t solve the video issues

Your example is blurred

dpreview test of the em1x is blurred

This thing just doesn’t work let alone being better

and when I had the camera firmware 3.2 it wouldn’t work at all and miss

so what is that you were saying?

should a system not deliver results to conclude is better? Or performance is just optional?
We can agree to disagree about whether the Olympus AF system works and how well. I’ve read enough reviews to be convinced that it does. Unfortunately for you, examples of isolated “failures” aren’t proof that a system doesn’t work, especially when other examples show it does.

You asked who needs PDAF. I responded that I do and provided a professional review that indicated another use case as well. So, rhetorical question answered.

Finally, you repeatedly provided incorrect information about the Olympus system and I corrected you.

Clearly the subject of PDAF touches a nerve for you. Perhaps you should avoid the subject.
You have no experience and you are not able to show that it works other thank referring to reviews

wake up and get some real examples until then your theory doesn’t work

One of your examples the dpreview video just shows blurred footage like yours

But you are happy to say that your blurred examples are better than my video that goes on for minutes and all in focus

the proof is in the pudding all the rest is BS
