indeed, it does look like micro USB type B... iirc, there are two or three different "USB micro" ports--which one did you get? have a pic?

you're not showing what's on the computer, but if the "bigger" end of the cable fits, then you have USB type A on the computer. you would need a male-male type A to type C cable... or an A-A cable with an A-C adapter... or a C-C cable with a C-A adapter

I just removed the micro USB from my Samsung External SSD and bingo. The lens is updated.

There is only one common “micro” designated USB “B” (device end) standard. It is officially named “USB micro-B.” It is what the OP illustrated in a later post.

You may be thinking of USB mini-B, which has a completely different end. Or USC-C, which is the flattened oval that can be inserted either way “up” in a receptacle. This is also the first USB standard I know of that allows a cable that is the same on both ends.
