Who remembers the first Fujix of 1994 in collaboration with Nikon.
To interest them, I made a comparison !
With my Fujix DS-505 (1994) and the Minolta RD-175 (1995) here:

Thank you for posting.

One thing is save to say: Camera design of digital cameras improved a lot over the years.

It's the least we can say :-D

Have a nice day

3.63 lb and 2.64 lb respectively

Im a Fuji fan, but id like the Minolta results better, but fuji has the better colour. I just Bought a Fuji 602 "pro" version from 2002 and its a diff experience shooting these old cameras

Personally, I'm a fan of both brands, Fujifilm and Minolta :-D

Interesting - even in those early days I’d say the Fuji had remarkably good colour rendition, more pleasing and seemingly more realistic than the Minolta here. It also appears to be sharper than the Minolta despite being (slightly) lower resolution, although of course that might just be down to the Nikon glass.

The three CCD sensors of the Minolta show here its limit :-(

Thank you very much for your feedback
