Just thought I'd share my experience and some images of the A7C with Ellie PD L-bracket. This is the short version (and obviously the orange. It matches the lens mount :-D )

Love the fact that I can have the camera in my Peak Design capture, for example when hiking, and set up for landscape quickly. With the bracket mounted I still get access to the battery and memory card. For those interested, hdmi and headphone could be possible, but the door will have to bend some. The usb-c is a no-go, as is the microphone - unless you slide the vertical bracket out of course.

Comparatively the Smallrig looks like it will give access to all doors.

If you're a daredevil you can actually use the screen flat for low setups using the Ellie, but be careful not to scratch the screen 👍

Interesting, I've actually got a short one on my old Oly body, good to know it'll fit an A7C if I ever get one... Using the regular sized Ellie PD on my A7R IV, I had custom L plates on previous bodies but I'm quite happy with Ellie now.
