Gorgeous captures. Lovely composition and colors. Thanks for sharing.

Insects are my first love. I have learned to love other things since then.

The photos are very well done. I would like to know names and country of origin. None of them look like anything I recognize although the the hover fly and hawk moth are easy to recognize.

We have a lot of skipper butterflies but they are mostly orange and brown or black. Most are very small.

Thanks macrouser.

Names are already written below each image, country of origin is Slovenia. It's a small patch of land in Europe.

The country explains why I have never even seen photos of those insects. Thanks very much.

What a nice; variety - of butterflies, especially. The Skipper is especially attractive - a different species than here in California.
