In addition to what Jim already said, since I also have the PD wrist strap I can also loop it when not using in on the wrist so that it connects (loops around and through) the thick QD system strap (on your shoulder), and to the camera lug on the other end (where PD normaly connects for the wrist). This way there is the additional security where even if something happened where that plate on the bottom somehow comes lose everything would still be hanging just by using the combination of PD and QD straps connected to the lug. I have initially done that all the time (after I first got QD strap) but soon became confident that the QD system is rock solid so I don't worry about it any longer (although this is very easy to put on/off and I can still easily handle the camera and shoot without taking that PD strap off).Hi, just like to know, with this kind of system how you make sure the screw at the bottom of the plate not going to unscrew ? Is they are some security system ?I switched from PD to RRS QD (quick detach) for my GFX 50R. It is the best camera attachment system I have ever used and it's not even close. I still keep one PD on there as well (small enough so who cares and it is only for occasional wrist attachment when I'm also typically gripping the camera anyhow - I don't trust the PD any longer as the single goto solution for this relatively heavy and expensive equipment). This is what I use on my 50R:

I also have the RRS lens attachment with QD (useful when using GF 250).
Because I've a plate under my former D850 and time to time it's unscrew, that's ok because I only use the plate for tripod (but I alway let the plate on place). That experience make me very very suspicious about those kind of system. Because if the screw are loose well...10 000$...vanish.
