GFX100S Lugs

I switched from PD to RRS QD (quick detach) for my GFX 50R. It is the best camera attachment system I have ever used and it's not even close. I still keep one PD on there as well (small enough so who cares and it is only for occasional wrist attachment when I'm also typically gripping the camera anyhow - I don't trust the PD any longer as the single goto solution for this relatively heavy and expensive equipment). This is what I use on my 50R:

I also have the RRS lens attachment with QD (useful when using GF 250).
Hi, just like to know, with this kind of system how you make sure the screw at the bottom of the plate not going to unscrew ? Is they are some security system ?

Because I've a plate under my former D850 and time to time it's unscrew, that's ok because I only use the plate for tripod (but I alway let the plate on place). That experience make me very very suspicious about those kind of system. Because if the screw are loose well...10 000$...vanish.

regards
In addition to what Jim already said, since I also have the PD wrist strap I can also loop it when not using in on the wrist so that it connects (loops around and through) the thick QD system strap (on your shoulder), and to the camera lug on the other end (where PD normaly connects for the wrist). This way there is the additional security where even if something happened where that plate on the bottom somehow comes lose everything would still be hanging just by using the combination of PD and QD straps connected to the lug. I have initially done that all the time (after I first got QD strap) but soon became confident that the QD system is rock solid so I don't worry about it any longer (although this is very easy to put on/off and I can still easily handle the camera and shoot without taking that PD strap off).

Loctite.
Ok, I use sometime when I fix my motorcycle. But never use it on a camera. But why not.
Is they are some security system ?
Huh?
something like
but builtin the plate

Thanks for the tips

My PD anchors fitted easy peasy lemon squeeze. Am going to order some new ones, as am reusing the ones from my outgoing A7r4

You are committing a grave sin Snapper.... Never reuse PD cords.

You must have the old V3 thin cords that they discontinued two years ago. No way they go in easy. Nope.... You are doing something wrong.

Don't argue with the World's preeminent Fuji Lug-Hole Expert.

It is like arguing with Jim about a calculation.

You will just embarrass yourself. 🤓

Yup, if they fit through the Fujifilm lugs, they are the old, thinner version that can break.

PD needs to design some designed especially for Fujifilm – thinner but using a tougher string. Just making the strings thicker was lazy.

I've used them for years with the 645Z with absolutely no issues whatsoever. The shoulder strap I did have an issue with was a Sun sniper one which screwed into the tripod screw. It unwound itself and the 645D that I had at the time crashed on to the hard airport floor Doing about £1500 worth of damage.

In any case I have ordered new anchor strings and have the anchor for the tripod connection. Pain in the ass that they can't make it so it fits into the PD Travel Tripod

What do you mean? The new anchors fit in the PD Travel Tripod.

Guidance I’ve seen is that you have to take the anchor off but then I could just be being stupid lll

Well it looks like Fujifilm listened to Greg. The 100S lugs are much bigger and fit the PD anchors easily. I think they have been reading this forum!!!

Is that true? Four guys told me they were the same old lugs with the same old metal triangles with the same old ridiculous little leather slot bumpers.

Can it be true that Fuji finally made the lug holes bigger?

Yes 100% true. I went from the 50r to the 100s and the exact same PD anchors that I could in no way thread through the 50r lugs easily thread through the 100s lugs.

Then I deserve a certificate of appreciation from Fuji HQ and 50 dollars off my next GF lens which will probably not be the 80 because I can't hardly stand to point my camera at a human unless it is one of my 6 Grandchildren and for them I don't need the 80. The 80 is a portrait lens....

Those little bugger-heads are running around all over the place and won't hold still or obey my commands to stop and smile.

God I hate shooting my camera at people - especially kids. Especially people with phones.... If I wanted to shoot people I would buy an alphasevenarefour or arefive or maybe a zeezedseventwo.....

50$ for product development? You start on Monday!

The Artisan & Artist ACAM 100 A is a good strap for larger cameras with small lugs.

Keep repeating the "I don't need the 80" until you believe it.

You guys can't make me get the 80. I am impervious to your unreasonable demand. I finally got the 110 against my will because oy you people.....

No way you guys can make me get the 80. I am imp to your charming suggestions.

Jim ordered it and will test it. You dont need me saying anything about it.

I don't need it. You don't want to see mundane pictures of church facades with the 80.

No one here needs that.

Stop speaking to me about the 80.

I dont want to hear it,

I am not getting it.

No way.

Talk to the Hand. No 80 no way baby. Not happening....

Greg,

Your resistance is funny, but futile :-D. We all know you are the biggest Fuji GFX enthusiast in the world so it is simply not appropriate that you would eventually not own every single GF lens (which means both 80 and 63 - sooner or later ;-)).

Can someone confirm absolutely that the lug holes are bigger than the Fiji X cameras and the GFX 50r and GFX 100?

Somebody please check now.

I know someone out there has the new GFX 100s and Fuji X cameras or the GFX 50r and can check it absolutely, so please confirm.

I need to know this because I am communicating with senior Fuji leadership about their way ahead and I need to know 100% for sure if they are listening to me.

If those lug holes are not bigger then I am boycotting them by not buying the 80.

Plus it could effect the amount of work I do to help develop their future strategies.....

a picture paints a thousand words...now get that 80!

Thanks Paul. The holes look bigger for sure, but I think your PD cords are also the thin V3 cords that you can't get anymore (but are fine if you ask me).

Now let me ask you.... When you opened the box, did Fuji include those ridiculous metal lug triangles that they have been handing out for 8 years now? What about those stupid and embarrassing leather-strip lug pads?
