I saw the pictures of the new body and I have to say it made me think of the transformers movie. It has a ceartin style of the 80´s or 90´s or whenever the movie was made. The grip and the flash looks a little bit weird, like it was a new toy for children. What do you think?

Not really. It just looks like gradual evolution of the K7,5,3 line.

Are you talking about the K3iii or about the k1ii J limited ?

Because the K3iii, to me, looks very serious and not transformerish ;-) (and doesn't have a flash by the way)

I hope/think you are talking about the K-1 II J Limiteds - which are customizations of the existing K-1 II. I could see how these reminds you of transformers. Well, if Pentax will sell a few more cameras this way, why should I complain?

The K-3 Mark III looks like a serious tool.

I think it’s a handsome camera. The grip looks very comfortable to me and fits not only with the aesthetic, but also the design principles established by Pentax. In photos the body made a strong and positive impression on me, but the hands-on videos were where I got a better sense of just how well designed it is. There are plenty of areas to nit pick and critique as with any design, but this looks mostly like a winner to me.

Oh, what is that baseball cap looking thing sticking out in the front then?
But... what, where ? There's a hotshoe for a flash but no flash. I repeat : you might be talking about J limited K1ii which has that "baseball cap" and the transformers look.

With my best efforts K3iii doesn't look like a toy but that's a matter of taste I suppose.

No baseball cap here, rather a reminiscence of the Kabuto, or traditional helmet of ancient samurai warriors.

Look again at the J-Limited features and colours, then compare with this Kabuto...

It would look a-lot better if it were pictured in my camera bag.
