SD10: Grip battery compartment, just a hole?

Hi,

Anybody know what's inside the grip battery compartment? Is it just a hole? or stuffed by something else? Why not stuff it by a Li-ion battery, so the bottom battery compartment can be removed to make the camera much shorter?

Yeah, I had similar thoughts; however, in looking at it from Sigma's point of view: it's easier and cheaper to keep the current body and redo some of the internal wiring that to retool everything. Shoot, the body has probably long paid for itself. It's time for them to make some money on it.

I did notice something about a groove in it for better gripping purposes though. Hmmm.
