This probably should come as a stupid question to most of you but can someone please tell me this. If I pair a Nikkor FX 14-24 on the DX Nikon Z50, what will be the equivalent focal length covered in terms of a full frame camera?

Thanks in advance! :]

TImes 1.5. 21-36 mm.
As dspoel said you have to multiply with 1.5 for equivalency.

Keep in mind that the focal length of your DX lenses work the same, so at the wide end the Nikon 14-24mm is not a lot wider than the kit 16-50mm zoom that comes with the Z50. An equivalent 21mm on full frame versus 24mm equivalent.

The difference between 21mm and 24mm is quite noticeable.

Thanks a lot David! Yes I do intend to upgrade to the Nikon Z6II soon. Until then, was looking for a constant f2.8 zoom for my Nikon Z50 for shooting videos 'without' the annoying AF sound. I think the Nikkor Z 14-24 f2.8 fills the gap nicely on DX! :-) Wish someone came up with a 17-50 2.8 with a silent AF motor for the Z mount before I make the buy!

There are more of us waiting for such glass :-)
