Thanks again to everyone who participated and joined in on the fun. Spooky is a little cliché for this time of year but I just had to. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Without further delay....the results.

Honorable mention for Bill Borne. I really like this image and the lighting is very well done.

3rd Place - Bill Borne with another image. That skull in the middle just screams spooky. The contrast and lighting well done again.

2nd Place - Dakon Cam with a frightening image for sure. Wouldn't want to see this face at my door. This photo is well done and it really sums up this challenge well. Spooky and will framed photo

1st Place - Gila Ski

This one was something I didn't imagine seeing in this challenge. Very creative and scary as HELL. Nice image and congrats.

All the images were fun to look at and it was neat to host a mini-challenge for the first time. Good luck all on the next challenge. Gila Ski is up next

Thanks for a fun subject. Just right for this time of year. Congrats to all who had HM and placed.

Aloha,

Val

And for running a nice challenge

Congrats to Gila Ski

Knew that was the winner as soon as I saw it

Thank you NewGuy1776 for having a fun and spooky challenge.
Nice theme for sure, and well hosted!
Congrats Gila Ski, on your absolutely amazing first place win,
Gave me a lot of ideas for the future, to be sure.
Dak for your creative spooky 2nd place win,
Thanks! It actually wasn't all that creative, but sometimes things just click and everything's already there (I had already scared people using the cape that night, and this was the first opportunity to take a look at the red flash filter I got in the mail that day).
and Bill for your unbelievable spooky skull for 3rd place and your honorable mention. Congrats to all who participated with amazing spooky images. I won't sleep for a week :-|
Well, that's what a presidential election turns out to be good for for me... Small wonder that the forum is a bit quiescent today...

** UPDATE ** UPDATE ** UPDATE

I owe everyone an apology. I made an error and the winning image was an "Exhibit" and not an "Entry". That means 2nd place is actually first place (Dakon Cam). Once again, much apologies for the oversight and I also appreciate the wingman that kept me on my toes.

I'll admit that there is a bit of blame for me here: I did notice this right away but did not want to act a sore loser: your first prize winner really was deserving, and if he/she would have accepted the honor of the winner, I'd certainly would not have wanted to interfere.

That being said, I thank for the honor of your choice and gratulate the other places (who's on third?) and honorable mentions.

Now I need to come up with a mini challenge theme of my own. Will do.

Dak, from what I've seen, you are gifted musically, artistically, and are wonderfully creative. No matter how hard you try you can't hide it. The cats out of the bag so keep showing us your wonderful work cause we enjoy it :-)

The election is a big deal for many reasons but I'm going to relax and hope for a good outcome for the Country. I did my part by voting and that feels good.

"Who's" on second. "What's" on first.

Here's another exhibit. When one feeds the daisies, best to be prepared for snow.

myMom and myDad are in the newest cemetery. myGrandparents are in this one. I'm planning on having my ashes floated into space; the colder one, upstairs. Just imaging; a jail would be much warmer. I think this memorial was photographed around 1901.

Yea; I think about them all the time.

I don't mean to belabor this, but, should old folks ruminate about spooky stuff?

So sorry, NewGuy1776, that I missed seeing your award post until today.

You are correct, though, in reassigning the 1st place award to Dakon Cam as my submission was, indeed, an exhibit, not an entry.

I do wish to thank you and everyone else who congratulated me on my submission. I really enjoyed all of the submissions, but my personal favorite was also Dakon Cam's!

Again, I apologize to all for weighing in on this award a bit tardy.

Cheers and good health to all!

It is a great spooky shot!
