Very nice Ray, it looks like a real labour of love.

John Cleese was 82 earlier this week - scary!

Thank you Davidedric...

Really appreciate the kind feedback....and it was a labour of love.

I found a coloured image to use as a reference so tried to replicate parts as near as possible....a lot of time but a lot of fun.

Thank you again.

Best wishes Ray

Hi Vic...literally on with it now...LOL as we message....!!

Best wishes Ray...

We must have watched each episode 30 times.

Manuel:
I say to man in shop "Is rat." He say "No, no, no. Is a special kind of hamster. Is filigree Siberian hamster." Only one in shop. He make special price: only five pound.

Basil:
Have you ever heard of the bubonic plague, Manuel? It was very popular here at one time. A lot of pedigree hamsters came over on ships from Siberia.

I decided to take you up on a coloring from a friend like you asked . I am sorry to say I did not watch this show . Lots of work on your nice copy and mine had to go into doing this photo with justice . Thanks for the play . I must admit , I never do a quickie when coloring like I am sure others on here don't either

"I know....I know..." My favorite too and an amazing job done by Ray et al. When I am down I can always put on Fawty Towers and be assured I will feel better ASAP. They even play it for terminally sick patients to improve their mood.

Excellent work PSxpert...colours look great...

Thsnk your your colouring..it looks super..

Best wishes Ray

I spotted a couple of areas that I missed . One , color over spill , and one area missing color. Here is with those areas fixed . I thought I got the posting off quick enough to fix it , but I found out that someone posted and locked my copy .

Loving the dialogue from the shows which friends are posting....brings it all back..

As they say...

Thanks for the memories....

Best wishes and stay safe

With areas fixed that I missed on the first posting . So , upset I didn't get it removed in time before someone commented on Rays posting under my posting which locked it from reposting

John Cleese is a genius.

Ray love your results...

Thanks Kenmo...he is brilliant.....

I know many do not like this type of humour but for me it was family entertainment at its best....

Simply funny...

Thanks Ken

Best wishes Ray

Nice reminder of a good old favorite TV show.

I'm impressed by your and others colorizing work I see here. How do you actually do it?

Hi Torstein....

Many thanks...yes a great show enjoyed by many.

There are many variations on how to colour.

My method is to paint each area on a new layer.

I set the layer to soft light or colour...

Once I have an area coloured and on a separate layer...I can then apply adjustment layers such as hue/saturation, selective colour and levels etc to just that layer...

That means I have good control over the colours.....

You can adjust opacity of each layer etc....

I know others have different ways of doing but that is the one I find easiest...at least for me...

They are time consuming though.

Best wishes Ray

Gee I hope no one mentions the war. Oh dear I just did!

Basil Fawlty - the man who said what the rest of us only dare to think - well, not even that these days thanks to the thought police.

I remember laughing so much it hurt in the scene where he is hitting his 1100, or was it a 1300, with the tree branch. Why, I don't know why it was funny, perhaps it was that shared feeling of frustration at the world..... :-)

Thank you Ray. They were the best of the best. Fawlty Towers stopped early enough, when it was the right time to stop. It wasn’t over done.

Never buy version 1.0 of anything.
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Thank you again friends for memories of those wonderful episodes .....

Yes...the gourmet dinner where he hit the 1100 or 1300 with the branch was brilliant...
I think my favourite was the one with the psychiatrist.....

And of course, we should not underestimate those who supported John Cleese...they were also excellent in their own ways...

Yes...a fantastic series....Look forward to watching it again...and again...and again.

Best wishes Ray
