Hi!

I am a happy user of 2 Godox flashes (685II and 360 Wistro II), which are triggered from Godx Xt1 transmitter on the A6600 hotshoe.

The question is - can I buy a separate XT1 transmitter for Nikon D500 and pair it with my two Godox's flashes or do I need to buy two new units?

If this is for off camera flash then yes all you need is the two separate triggers both set to the same channel/group.

You may lose some functionality from the speedlight on the speed light if it has a Sony designation and your Nikon trigger - i.e TTL (if it has)

Upsi, so to keep this designation do I need to buy dedicated to Nikon flashes or change firmware?

You just need the trigger. The speedlights will work fine in Manual, HSS, TTL with your Nikon camera. If it's one of the newer mirrorless Nikons then check the firmware version here and make sure you are up to date.
