Today National Public Radio posted a list of the “100 Greatest Title Tracks Ever Laid Down On Wax” (link provided below), which, for lack of any better ideas, inspired me to dedicate Challenge 208 to music.

Share with us images that you connect to artists, songs, albums, concerts, composers, etc. Feel free to pick one of the 100 tracks. Or not. For instance, post a lighting shot, and say it reminds you of Jackson Browne’s “You Love The Thunder”. Or a fog-shrouded lake and “Smoke on the Water”. No connection is too tenuous. “Green Onion” should be easy.

As usual, be creative and have some fun. We Got The Beat.

I also noticed an extraneous 0.5 vote from me - and I hadn't started voting. That's fixed, at least for my votes.

I also note that there the gallery is numbered 15,17,18 but the voting sheet has 15,16,17. Is it a fair assumption that, because of the movement of Arkansas Traveler's picture, voting sheet 16 is gallery 17 and voting sheet 17 is gallery 18?
Thanks.

Gallery is corrected now.

Sorry I will try again ..... I'm alittle confused of this voting :((

....that goes a long way in my book.

The sheet is confusing, this is not a knock on Jim, but it took me a while to get used to it also.

Try again...I kind of found the .5 votes to be delightful....grin

0.5 votes is what many of my images deserve.

Which is better than a couple of my 0s.

Two Articles on the Survival of Bacteria in the Void and Vacuum of Space

Conditions in space can shift rapidly from one extreme to another. Perhaps the best example is the space station itself.

The side of the space station facing the Sun reaches 250 degrees F, while the side facing away from the Sun is minus 250 degrees F. Talk about extremes...

Now, add to this the constant bombardment of cosmic radiation and ultraviolet light, and you are looking at a very inhospitable setting.

Naturally, we might think anything on the outside of the space station would be die very quickly. But these bacteria have proven that it is possible for organisms to survive in space.

NASA conducted studies on the bacteria to find out how they can survive in the harsh conditions in space. The answer lies in the anatomy of certain bacteria, whose unique characteristics make it possible for them to stay in a vacuum without getting destroyed.

I am honored to be considered a heavy thinker (or at least interested in such things as the survival of bacteria and organisms in space).

I have a topic in mind. Need to find some time to take care of the details.

Well, I tried setting up the galleries for CIC209 (name ,etc. to be announced) and think I screwed up. Hoping someone can come to my rescue and fix. Don't worry about blowing away what I uploaded. I can repeat that part of the task.

I am out on the course chasing a golf ball soon.

I'll look at them later this afternoon if no one else gets to them.

Thanks, Jim. Things are looking up this morning; I made some fixes that should bring us closer to readiness. Not sure about the dates, though (the ones shown are from CIC 208).

I had it setup ready for the next challenge weeks ago what happened?

I remembered you saying that. I looked for 209 but didn't see it. Maybe I duplicated?
Hope I didn't screw things up royally. Please take a look when you have a moment.
