RF TS lenes?

Yes.

I do hope so! The EF TS 17 is a gem, but I always use the TS 24 whenever possible- It's brilliant. With the RF line being so stellar, I thought it might push Canon to up date them. And I wonder if the new mount will allow them to not just have better resolution, sharpness and contrast, but more shift capability and less fall off.

OTOH, I wonder if they will just update them in the EF mount so that they can continue to be adapted by Sony and Nikon users...

I’m really hoping we get RF versions of the TS-E lenses as they are my most lenses I own..... LOVE them!

I’d love to see the wides updated to RF most as the new 50 and 90 are amazing already. More shift on the 17 and 24 would be amazing and less prone to flare too, plus a 35mm TS-R would be really nice to have.

I do think we will have RF TS lenses, but not for a while.

Right now, Canon increasingly needs more moderately priced lenses, like nifty fifty and and other not-so-costly primes, plus more higher aperture zooms for both the upcoming cheaper full frame "Rebel" R and the RP, R and even the R6 and R5.

I use my TS lenses a lot and they work just fine with my current EOS R. In fact, aside from a 150mm macro, they are my only other non-RF lenses. Even my oldest, the non-L version of the 90mm, performs extremely well with the R, and, I presume, so it will on my R5. For now, what I'd love instead of a new RF TS is to get the 135mm f/4.0 L TS. It would make an awesome product lens, as my experience showed me with former larger format systems, that lenses with equivalent angle of view to the 135mm lens on "full frame" are just about perfect for accurately rendering products with a 'natural perspective," and are pretty nice for portraiture as well.

Ooooh, I would love to get the TS 90, but just don't get enough of that work to justify it.

Regarding when new TS versions might become available, I generally agree. It might be a while while they roll out more general purpose lenses. It might be wishful thinking, but the Canon Rumors people say a R5s (maybe 90 megapixels) is being tested by photographers. I'm definitely interested, but I know my TS17 will show its limitations!

And, I agree with you. I always try to use my 24 TS first, and then the 17 if that doesn't work, because the 24 is just better, especially in the corners. I love my 17 TS, but I'm pretty sure that 90MP would put a strain on its resolution potential, also especially in the corners when using movements. Even with a mere 30MP, with moderate shift or even some tilt (I'm talking about the area in the sharp plane of focus), those corners need some hefty stopping down to look their best. So, tripling the MP would surely make that more apparent.

Even though I love my 17mm TS-E, I agree, we need really need to see a 17mm TS-R first.

The smaller flange distance probably wont help with illumination fall off with a shift lens but Canon will hopefully greatly improve image sharpness across the frame without the need to stop down quite so much as we do with the current 17mm. Plus, I'd really hope the larger lens mount will give us larger shift movements (15-20mm?) which would be amazing.

Is it viable to build an effective TS EF to RF adapter? Let's say for an APS-C imaging circle. R5 in crop mode is still a practical tool

That sounds like it would be fun, but I don't think Canon would make it, unless, unbeknownst to us, the image circles on some of the RF lenses are way bigger than we would ordinarily imagine. Even then, I would still doubt it. Anything is, of course, possible, but the utility of such an adapter would be very low, and the loss of profit from selling TS lenses would be high.

Yes, it should be viable, and surely someone will have a go - but that's unlikely to be Canon. And I'd guess it would have seriously niche appeal.
I would suggest if it had any appeal at all, someone would have tried to make one for EF to EF-M. After all, there are 24 and 30 megapixel sensors in EOS M cameras rather than the 7½ to 17 megapixels you get from cropped RF mount camera sensors. It would also be easier just to crop from full-frame if you weren't bothered about tilt.

Having said that, Kipon have had a go with shift adapters from Nikon F to mirrorless.
