Recently I bought this gimbal to use with my M6 II now that are heavily discounted.

I had a lot of questions but few answers since close to nobody seems to own one in these forums or Youtube.

I'm glad to report that it works flawlessly with this camera and I'm very satisfied, which is rare for me to say of a product these days.

The best part is that it not only works for stabilizing videos, which this is what gimbals are known for, but also to make panoramas including spherical completely automatic and also as a sophisticated remote pan head for wildlife photography and other uses.
I got the Pro kit which includes a Focus Wheel and Motor to handle Focus for Manual focus lenses and even AF lenses without the motor, thru the USB-C port.

This gimbal controls some basic camera functions using the camera USB-C port.

I tried 4 lenses and all work fine and I managed to balance them all no problem.

These were:

EF-M 15-45 kit lens

EF 22m f2

Canon EF 35mm f2 IS

Canon EF-S 55-250mm STM IS

I had other lenses but they should work as well no problem.

I did not tried the focus motor yet for manual lenses or for zoom control but the focus wheel did controlled all the above lenses.

The only thing not supported with the USB-C connection is the Hold-Press function, so for burst or bracketing the 2sec selftimer has to be used.

Several vendors in the US have this gimbal at discount now since a new model is coming, but to me this has everything except for Remote Live View, which can be done with the camera app although at short distances.

It’s so hard to me to find threads about "cooperation" between DJI Ronin SC and Canon M6 Mark II. So I'm happy to see your post. I’m seriously considering to buy both of them, especially because of great discounts now. I’ve got two questions and will be glad to get to know your answers.

1. I see that you have some EF lenses. So, what kind of adapter do you have (Canon or a replacement from another manufacturer)? And - most important - did you notice any delay or deterioration of functionality of gimbal with using that adapter (e.g. focusing)?

2. I'm used to use viewfinder with me previous photocameras (Canon DSLR's). But I consider to buy only body with quite great bunch of accesories (adapter, Rode microphone, monopod) which be cheaper than body plus kit lens and viewfinder (than I can buy lens which be more adequate to my needs). But... does this viewfinder im M6MII make important difference given your experience?

I will be apreciate for your answers. Regards.

I’ve three adapters, one Canon, another Fotodiox and the Viltrox Speed Booster.

I didn’t notice any strange behavior with any of these and the gimbal, focusing, etc

The viewfinder might be important in some situations, in others not.

Buying the viewfinder separately could be more expensive, you can get the other accessories later.I have no regrets, yet I don’t use it much, like 20% of the time.

Thank you. I think finally to choose the option with a viewfinder. Usability, habits, cost ratio speak for this choice. Best wishes for the upcoming year.
