Today National Public Radio posted a list of the “100 Greatest Title Tracks Ever Laid Down On Wax” (link provided below), which, for lack of any better ideas, inspired me to dedicate Challenge 208 to music.

Share with us images that you connect to artists, songs, albums, concerts, composers, etc. Feel free to pick one of the 100 tracks. Or not. For instance, post a lighting shot, and say it reminds you of Jackson Browne’s “You Love The Thunder”. Or a fog-shrouded lake and “Smoke on the Water”. No connection is too tenuous. “Green Onion” should be easy.

As usual, be creative and have some fun. We Got The Beat.

....and I know what music to associate with the image, (so I can make a valid entry).

Do you mind me asking approximately where this was taken?

I am super busy today, (and none too happy about it), but I will get this image entered soon and provide a link back here.

Best Wishes, Traveller

It was in person .... Greg Laurie....... at Philly - Christian -

Good to see another Exhibition entry. I'm surprised there hasn't been more play there.

We just received a good dumping and could use a break. You're welcome to all you want.

Most of you wouldn't say this - but I am hoping for some rain today, even on a Saturday.

We badly need it in south east Arizona.

I need a 4th good photo.

And I know the song - unless we get a huge storm which is also a possibility.
We got about a 1/2 inch this morning and I’m hoping for about 6 or 7 more inches. What a coincidence, I just put a rain (ish) photo in the challenge.

As the saying goes - great minds .... .

But so far the storms have gone around us.

Still a few hours left today in which some might develop.

Well, nature pitched a shut out against us.

The rain all went to the west and northwest of Tucson.

Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

That’s exactly what has been happening with us too. So far today, .02! I better start building my Ark! Just you watch now that my we are going camping for a couple days to the flint hills on Tuesday it will pour buckets of rain.

BTW, I hope I didn’t steal/ beat you to the let it rain title. Paul

It often seems to work that way.

Perhaps I should have washed my car

Not to worry. I had a different song and title in mind. But unless we get some rain today, the whole next week looks dry again.

I need to come up with another idea.

How ironic that a hour after I posted this we got pounded with a storm to the tune of 2.7 inches. I wasn’t aware it was even coming .

It only hurts for a little while.

We were just pounded as well - we have 0.09 in so far. Maybe more later today.

Before... (2012)

After... (Today)

I set out the other day to retake that photo from 2012 and I completely missed this location twice. I saw the little bridge (which goes over a small creek) but the scene looked nothing like I remembered it. I kept driving. I got to the end of that road and I started second-guessing myself thinking maybe I shot it on a different road. Then I drove back through and it looked a little more familiar going the other way but I thought there were way more trees.

Then, I went back through and checked the bridge again. It definitely was different going back the way I went through it the first time. I got up the hill and remembered the dirt road where I parked my car when I took the first shot. I thought that this had to be the same location. I looked through the camera and I said to myself that there was no way this was the location. No way! There was a lot more shade here for the first photo. I was in sweltering heat today. I did not remember that at all. Then I set the camera on the ground and took a quick shot and then it hit me. The tornado that went through in April of this year might have done this. I looked around and noticed the trees further into where the woods on the right side used to be, some were still fallen, I noticed all of the leftover debris back there as well. This had to be it but it was severely altered into an unrecognizable state.

I took a few photos and when I got home I compared the 2012 photo with the ones I took today. Sure enough, the left side (while still battered) still has a couple of the same trees in the same place as they were in 2012.

Something else that struck me, there were no power lines in the original photo either. It had to have been cleared for power lines to go in. But the rest of it I am pretty sure was wiped away by the April tornado.

WOW!

I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this new one in the Eligible category or not. If I find a better scene I may change it.
