David, when I saw your post I immediately thought of Betty Davis’s famous line

“I’d like to kiss ya but I just washed my hair”. :-)

Get well quickly, pretty gal! We've all been there. That vest looks like a much better solution than a cone; even better than an big inflatable collar.

to examine her wound overnight (the vest didn't stop her accessing it unfortunately) Eszti has been to the vets again.
No damage done and now she is naked, no medical vest and no dressing. Just a soft collar so she cannot access the wound. I am also watching Erik like a hawk.

Next trip to the vets in a week to remove the stitches. Hopefully we will have had news about the tumour before then.

David

Oh my. As we all know, dogs will try hard to get at anything that is bothering them or feeling odd. Glad she didn't cause any injury. Nasty looking surgical wound. Joy had one nearly as big when she was still a rather small puppy from the vet trying to find and fish out a tiny grass awn that caused a major infection, complete with drains, etc. She healed-up fine and quickly. Today, you can't even find the scar on her belly.

This was the awn, BTW - it had travelled though much of her body and would have killed her had it gotten to heart, lungs or the like. Thankfully, the vet found the tiny insidious thing.

Never been. Avoid cities like the plague itself.

You lost me there, David.

You should be more careful with your titles. IMHO
Why??????
You are not the only one of my friends going "Why?"

Using "shot" and "Indian" in the same sentence has that effect on me. (Don't worry; link is safe; from a university.) (P.S. I have a thick skin, anyway.)

I found an almost exact copy in a New York newspaper. It would be interesting to find a 1900's newspaper article on Rocky Mountain oysters. "Huh."
Ok I photographer Crazy Horse Indian Dance

Anyway I think I did pretty good job on the video??????

Just her beautiful self.
She had a good night. However, following the removal of the tumour yesterday she was, unsurprisingly, a bit wary of moving too much this morning, I would imagine she felt uncomfortable and some movements will be difficult for a while.
However we eventually managed to encourage her out into the garden, just little steps.
In the house, as she must not jump up at the moment, I have created a cushion ladder so she can get on her favourite sofa.
And her tail is still wagging.

Eszti is probably saying; "It's a miracle."

I called a friend yesterday. He said that a "one on one" would be out of the question. I persisted. He said; "just got out of the hospital." (I'm always the last man on the totem pole.) Bottom line? Yep; he said, "bottom line." Doctor found stuff way down at the bottom. But, nothing a few thousand pills won't cure. He is hoping.

What is the root of yourPuppy's name?
Hi David, as she is a Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla we googled Hungarian girls names and then picked. Eszti is a form of the name Esther and it means star. She is an old girl now, over 11 years of age. And hopefully the removal of the tumour will help keep her going for quite a while yet. She is rather wonderful and an incredibly important component of our lives.

Regards,
David

You are a wonderful custodian, Member hwvlover. One of myPuppies took a pellet. It lodged against the spine. I didn't know that until the seventy mile trip to the veterinarian. Two of my daughters went with me, that evening. They held "Manospock" the whole route. Manospock waited behind my vehicle that afternoon. He just sat there. (Balú does that; just sits.) It was so unlike Manospock to not come around and wait until I stepped out. He was a white dog. When I touched him; he was wet just about where we feel our kidneys.

Love does not fade by the inverse square law of happiness. Love is constant. The return on our trip was marked by the rainstorm in myTrusteeSteed's cabin.

I think a dog's life is governed by the inverse square law of aging. Dogs love quickly and unconditionally in a real hurry. I think they hurry to love as much as they can in the little time that they have.

I am not heartless. I've castrated bovines. I've seared their hide and clipped their ears (but, not on horses.) I killed a horse with my truck (hadn't ridden one in years.). The odor remained for months and my former roommates hate spilled over. It hurt me when he had to shoot it. There are horses all around me; I'm a little odd with the odor now.

Well, here, . . . I am no one to tell you about love.

The truth about dogs is that they are all about the truth.

I saw the first run and commented likewise.

How does this sound? "I captured Crazy Horse."* You know that anybody who talks horses, in these unitedstatesian localities, must start at 1492 a.d. Mountains should be named for those who climbed the crags first. But, please, bring your cameras to film the next; "Close Encounters of the 3d Kind."

You are not gonna bite the "oyster" thing, are you?

*for brand new posters; When Columbus brought the horse, we were already making tortillas. Some of us mistook Cortes for a god. "Somebody; save me."

Somebody save me from MelGibsonian , also.

You lost me there, David.
"Aim small; miss small ."

You aimed for family; a tighter grouping cannot have been had.
I forgot to tell you that I took all my history classes to see this movie during its first run. And, then I showed it in video to all my classes, for the next three years. I would have shown it again to my high school students, but, then I got involuntarily transferred for my political statements and union organizing. So, I showed it to my junior high students. Then they had the audacity to fire me. Kerchink! That was my first paid vacation.

You are telling your age :-)
You're kidding! myBabe and I used to walk into Furr's Cafeteria. "Would you look at those old people!" Today? "Old Folks U'r Us." Pass the sugar, Sugar.

Apparently you didn't see Mina's son by the door. Yea, that's right; the one with the mask. Good thing he has honest eyes like his mom.

You must have a LOT of hair! :-)
Yeah, on his Behind Ha Ha Ha

Sorry David
No sorries. I'm very proud of my tail.

That part of the anatomy is called "nalgas." When the feller in the fancy house started calling the Good Senator, Pocahontas, myBabe and I went crazy changing that word into "Pocasnalgas." So, now myBabe calls me "Skinny Buttes." Oh, yea; the buttes around here are red.

Something that small left my body years ago; good thing I had a small screen with which to catch it.
