just considering moving up from xt2 to xt3 now that xt3 prices have come down.

if you have moved from the xt2 to xt3 do you feel it was a worthwhile upgrade and if so what things did you feel were better?

AF is quite a bit better. Otherwise I didn’t notice much.

I used an X-T2 alongside an X-T3 for a little while and whenever I changed over, I noticed the lack of AF points on either side of the frame. Now, I don't necessarily shoot with my main objects of desire on the edge of the frame, but often enough it's borderline.

Found the AF to be snappier also.

Sold the X-T2 in the end.

Definitely a substantial upgrade.

The biggest improvements are of course the AF and the video, but the reason I upgraded was more because of many of the smaller improvements.

No red/purple grid flare, ISO160, a bit better dynamic range(less noise in shadows), USB-C, better EVF, more protruding EVF, bigger and more protruding back buttons, softer shutter button, full performance without battery grip and it's overall faster and more responsive than the X-T2.

At 999 it's definitely worth it--particularly when your T-2 was showing wear.

I'm always going to have a soft spot for my X-T2. It's still a brilliant camera!

Having said that, I moved on to the 3. I needed the speedier autofocus.

That, and the ability to shoot 1:1 when I want it, -if only with jpeg.

I still love my X-T2, it's sort of an old friend by now, but I bought the X-T3 because I wanted a second camera. I now use the 2, paired with the 55-200, as a backup when the 3 is on the tripod.

I haven't noticed any improvements other than what has already been mentioned above. I shoot land-/seascapes almost exclusively. Love the improved EVF!

One thing I didn't know before buying the X-T3 is that you will need to invest in 1 or more NP-W126s batteries, the NP-W126 (without the S) will trigger a warning every time you turn the camera on (a part from draining faster obviously). No big thing, but still annoying.

Good luck!
