I have too many cameras, and used to own RX1. I see one advertised for $650... thot to offer $500. Is the E61:00 a big deal? I had that once, and eventually got rid of it w/ sharp hit of lens on my palm. (The more gentle approach did not work... and i was on a dream vacation in Seychelles.)

Advice?

I wouldn't think of any RX-Series camera as being "old". Are you sure it isn't an R1 you're talking about/

quickie look on eBay, $800. is the lowest that popped up

so, $650. is a good price, any lower price a gift if seller agrees.

I bought one used, however I waited for one that included the wonderful hot-shoe EVF. The EVF, while reducing portability, seriously increases my desire and ability to use the camera. btw, the horribly expensive EVF slips out of the hot shoe too easily, I improvised with a string wedged in the gap to prevent losing it.

Here's a different solution, a viewfinder, presumably with an eyecup

Not a known problem for this fixed lens, however I had my seller email me photos to prove there were no spots, f11, featureless sky or wall ...

returns accepted? cost of return shipping is not a big risk/loss if it goes bad

good luck

Elliott
