yes. They need to go where the bears and Wolfes are unwilling to go. They also have fluffy hair to protect them. And smaller ones do better in many falls due to less mass to support on impacted surfaces. A bit like ants and kids not hurting themselves when they fall!First, this is a great pitcure, thank you very much for posting it!
Second, it makes me wonder how many Mommas have watched there little ones fall to their death. It is crazy to me that any animal (or human) would take chances like this, for no good reason? Do they really NEED to take such extreme chances to get from point A to point B?
Just think, one small slip, and either of them would be dead?!

If Momma did fall, what would happen to her young one?Hoping momma is a good teacher, cant imagine if she fails........ Nice capture
they have been living in those places for 1000s of years and have survived, no big deal!If Momma did fall, what would happen to her young one?Hoping momma is a good teacher, cant imagine if she fails........ Nice capture
BTW, do they ever find out they hit a dead end (can't go any further), try to turn around and find out they can't go back the same way they came from? Then what?
Maybe that is why they have not been increasing in numbers in the past few years?they have been living in those places for 1000s of years and have survived, no big deal!If Momma did fall, what would happen to her young one?Hoping momma is a good teacher, cant imagine if she fails........ 1. The slope appears foreshortened. It's not as steep as it looks.Maybe that is why they have not been increasing in numbers in the past few years?they have been living in those places for 1000s of years and have survived, no big deal!
That explains a thing or two on the forums. A better strategy might be to pay attention in school and carefully consider the comments.BTW, add a gallery, gear list, and website to your profile to show off your shots and increase your credibility.
I respect people opinions who do those three things much more when talking to them. ;-)
These cliffside areas are the safest places for them from predators. I would venture to guess that they would lose more babies to predatory killings if they lived on flatter land.First, this is a great pitcure, thank you very much for posting it!
