Hi

I have 2x telephoto lens for my CP5700, but unfortunatelly my camera can't focus with this lens. And when it focus (in high distance) it dont seems to be 2x lens (maybe 1.5 or 1.3) .
Can You hel;p me ??
Setting telelens/normal doesnt help at all:(

Since Nikon does not have a 2X converter, I would assume your 2X is not a Nikon. Many third party teleconverter lenses, especially those cheap to very cheap ones, are not 2X at all. If, as you said, it is not 2X when the camera is focused at infinity, that converters may have a specification problem. In fact, I also happen to have a few third party 2X converter lenses that are not 2X. In some cases, these are video lenses that have lower or even much lower resolution. Since their design spec may not be strict enough to support some higher end digital cameras, it is very likely you may fail to focus. If I were you, I would buy some converters that are known to be good and compatible with the 5700. If you do not like the TC-E15ED and need a little more reach, Olympus TCON-17 is a very good choice for about $100. This TCON-17 is as good as the TC-E15ED and is a 1.7X rather than 1.5X.

No, it won't help because it is a problem of the converter lens.

My lens is produced by "TITANIUM" and I paid for it about 150$. It's designed for high resolution photography. Do You have any other idea?

Interesting. How do you attach the TCON-17 to a CP 5700? Any vignetting?

I have two Nikon adapters (just rings) that i received with my wide lens. I put the wide lens on the longer one, and i put my tele lens on both of them (the shorter is signed tele lens adapter). Thats all.
What can I do?

I have two Titanium series 2X telephoto lenses for testing with my 4500. None of them delivers 2X performance. I personally suspect that there has to be some incompatibility here. Or, the spec is not entirely accurate. If I were you, I would return it and buy a TCON-17!

I use Nextphoto's adapter which has an inner 50mm thread for Nikon's TC-E15ED and WC-E80 and an outer 62mm thread for other accessories such as lenses and filters. Since the TCON-17 has a 55mm rear thread, a 62-55mm step-down ring is required. There is no vignetting.
